Day 175

April 29, 2006

Friday April 28, Karen and Bill took a trip out (during Karen's regular visiting time) with a purpose of taking some measurements for the basement bathroom and the location of the light fixtures. A glorious day that topped off a really good week of weather, it was warm and sunny.

Friday night, Jess and Kent arrived from Fort McMurray for a weekend visit. Saturday, while Karen attended a Theatre Alberta meeting, we went out to the house and Bill gave them the tour.

The only part of the roof that is not shingled is the back portions. Scott has been working away on the porch roof and its intersection with the great room roof. That work is nearly complete. The rest of the back roof is ready for sheeting and shingles.

The back doorways have been framed in preparation for installing the doors - soon. We did not get a picture, but Mark has added a nice touch of a 45 degree bevel on the exterior logs where they butt up against the vertical logs that form the doorway.

The centre (dividing) wall of the fireplace opening has been framed and sheeted.
