Day 41

Saturday December 17, 2005 dawns a cold and slightly snowy day but by noon the sun is out so it's a beautiful winter day. There's a chilly breeze from the south, making it less pleasant than it could be if only one could face the sun and not the wind at the same time. Karen is moving J from Vic, so Bill goes out and meets Terry to review the electrical plan. All the exterior wall electrical has to be drilled through the logs as they are being erected, so this plan is needed right away

The first shipment of logs arrived on Friday December 16th.

It's starting to look a lot like a construction site (or a lumber yard). There has been lots of progress this week. The floor is on, bearing walls have been framed in the basement, and the garage walls are being started.
