Day 56

January 1, 2006

We have been out to visit a couple of times over the Christmas holidays but not much was changing (of course), so we didn't take any pictures. Last week, however, Wayne returned and began finishing the back-filling. Fortis came and spliced the power in and installed the meter and more was done on the logs and the garage.

The garage is nearly framed - just a few sheets of roof sheeting to go up. The electrical is starting, not just the installation of power but the outlets and switches in the log walls need to be drilled as the walls go up and so the mortises for the outlets are also being done. The natural gas has been trenched in from the service main at the back of the property and a secondary service has been run from the house to the garage.

We took a drive up Plummers Road to the east - a dead end but before it does, it looks out over the valley to the east and north to the city - what a view that is!
